Streamlined Remote Access with SharePoint Migration
In a bid to enhance remote collaboration and address VPN connectivity challenges, we recently undertook a transformative project. Faced with difficulties accessing their network shared folder remotely, our mission was to provide a more efficient and accessible solution. We proposed a migration of their critical data onto SharePoint, enabling secure and collaborative online work.
The issues that the company had initially were their remote users on site or working from home trying to connect on a L2TP (Layer two tunnelling protocol) VPN to access their shared network drives but their connections weren’t being established. Due to the frustrations and short temporary fixes for this, this resulted for their shared network drive to be migrated to SharePoint.
This required planning and thorough assessment of what the company had in their network drives, manage the amount of data to be migrated and using different resources to ensure a smooth and undisrupted process took place in a time efficient manner.
Results and Conclusion
Since the successful migration, our client has experienced a significant improvement in their remote work capabilities. The streamlined access to data and collaboration features provided by SharePoint has led to enhanced efficiency, reduced downtime, and increased employee satisfaction.
